The third generation of BGCG. Although they maybe young and wild, I believe they will make a bigger and greater impact in their school as well as generation. Continue to pray for them!

It’s easy to be tempted to give up on a goal, prayer or desire when it seems as if the answer isn’t coming as quickly as you would like. Yet, at these times, dare to learn how to hope even more in God. Usually, our battles seem the darkest just before the dawn. Just like a woman experiences birth pains right before the birth of her child, we too experience intense moments before breakthrough. Yet, we must not give up prematurely during these heated times.
In Hebrews 10:35 it says, “Do not cast away your confidence for it will be richly rewarded.” As faith-filled believers, we must keep hoping, keep believing and staying faithful. Many times, we are closer than we think to victory. God is faithful to His promises. When God says we will be richly rewarded for keeping our confidence in Him, that should give us a second wind, giving us fuel to keep up the faith. Don’t give up today on your dreams and your hope in God. By developing the attitude, “I’ve come too far to stop now” and learning how to be full of hope, expecting God’s favor daily, you’ll see God begin to do amazing things, even in the midst of trying times! You are closer than you think to victory. Dare to hope in God and His promises. You will not be disappointed!

Knowing the Bible is one thing. Knowing the Author is another.

 
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV.)
We have to realize our mistakes aren’t that powerful. Our mistakes aren’t too big for God. He’s not up in the heavens shaking His head saying, “I never dreamed they would do that. They’ve ruined My plan.” No, God knew every mistake we would ever make. He knew every wrong turn, and He’s already prepared a new route. He already has your detour figured out.
Scripture says that God knows the end from the beginning. If you’ve made some mistakes, the good news is that He has already planned a way to get you back on track! Just come to Him with an open and humble heart. Let Him wash you clean and make you new. Your mistakes aren’t bigger than God. He loves you and has a good plan in store for you!

Prayer for Today:
Father God, thank You for choosing me and accepting me beyond my mistakes. Thank You that the blood of Jesus cleanses me and makes me new. I invite You to have Your way as I submit every area of my life to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Friends with fries!

Healthy friendships are vital to life, so it’s important that we have good friends and that we become good friends to others. God invented friendship, so His Word is the ultimate source for determining how to do it right. Here are a few key traits that should be present in any healthy friendship.

1. Friends Forgive. Friends don’t bring up old dirt and gossip about each other. They forgive and seek forgiveness with transparency and humility.

“Love prospers when a fault is forgiven, but dwelling on it separates close friends.” Proverbs 17:9

2. Friends love unconditionally! They are there for you when you need them most, not just when it’s convenient.

“A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.” Proverbs 17:17

3. Friends have your back! Loyalty is vital to friendship. There’s no such thing as a “frenemy”.

“There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24

4. Friends tell you the truth. Even when it’s hard to hear, friends will speak the truth in love.

“An honest answer is a sign of true friendship.“ Proverbs 24:26

5. Friends make each other better!

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.” Proverbs 27:17

6. Friends communicate openly.

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” John 14:15

Let’s all strive to live out these traits in our own relationships and I believe our friendships will become more enriching, fulfilling and God-honoring

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5 NIV)
Have you ever really thought about the relationship between a branch and the vine? We don’t use these kinds of word pictures very much anymore, but think about it — if the branch is not attached to the vine, it withers and dies. The very life of the branch depends on being attached to the vine. The same thing happens if we try to operate in this life without Jesus. Without Him, we can do nothing. We are cut from our life source. But when you remain in Him by daily connecting with Him through prayer, worship and study of the Word, then your life will be fruitful. You’ll walk in joy and blessing.
Notice that this verse says “much fruit.” It’s saying that you will have an abundant harvest in your life. Remember, God doesn’t want you to just barely get by. He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness! Choose to remain in Him today; choose to make Him your top priority, and you’ll see His hand of blessing operating in every area of your life!

Chapters

Everyone has gone through seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming. During those times, it’s easy to be tempted to talk about how bad things are. Maybe you received a bad medical report, or maybe you’re facing a financial obstacle. But the more you talk about something, the bigger it becomes in your mind. Instead, you’ve got to dig your heels in and say, “No, I am not going to give life to that defeat. I am not going to speak sickness over myself. I’m not going to speak lack. I’m not going to speak fear. I’m choosing a different report. I believe the report of the Lord which says I am blessed. I am favored. I am prosperous. I am healthy. I am whole. I’m a victor, not a victim.”
Remember, even if you don’t see how things could ever work out, God does. Speak to those mountains in your life and declare God’s favor over those situations. Instead of talking to God about how big your problems are, talk to your problems about how big your God is! As you speak to your mountains, they will be moved, and you will move forward into the victory God has prepared for you!

Did you know that faith can be alive or faith can be dead? There are a lot of people who are missing out on the abundant life. They love God, but they aren’t overcoming their obstacles or accomplishing their God-given dreams simply because they are not putting any action behind their faith. Their faith is dead, and it isn’t activating God’s power.
What can you do today to keep your faith alive? It doesn’t have to be something big. Just simply obeying God and doing your best keeps your faith alive. When you go to work every day and give it 100%, you are demonstrating your faith.
Sometimes just putting a smile on your face when you feel discouraged, that’s putting action behind your faith. Just taking time to go to church—that’s faith that is alive. That’s faith that activates God’s power. That’s faith that opens the door for God to move on your behalf.
With faith that is alive, you’ll rise up higher. You’ll overcome obstacles, and you’ll move forward into the abundant life God has in store for you!

Father, Your Word says that when my Mom or my Dad forsake me, You will receive me. I know that I am accepted in Jesus.
I get frustrated thinking about what has happened to my parents and family, but I look to You as my help. You sent Jesus to mend our hearts and heal our broken hearts. Jesus will never leave us comfortless or without help.
Help me by Your Holy Spirit to be strong. I will not allow myself to become bitter or to speak bad or evil words about anyone, even though I may feel like it. I desire to be kind, loving, and forgiving, just like Jesus. I am going to think only on the things that are good, pure, true, clean, and holy. If I am angry, I will not sin. I will continue to look to You for help.
I ask for supernatural peace to keep me from being worried or afraid. Thank You for giving me and my family a peace that is more wonderful than anyone can imagine.
I don’t understand all that is going on with my family, so I pray that you will show my parents and family right decisions to make. I pray that they will realize the love that You have for them and that You will be their friend also.
Show the unsaved members of my family that they need to ask Jesus to be their Savior. Send someone across their path from whom they can receive counsel, and help them forgive each other so there will be healing in their relationships.
Father, although this situation seems hopeless, there is nothing that is impossible for You. You sent Jesus so that we could have life to the fullest. I know each person has his or her own will and can choose to follow You or reject You. Although I really love all my family, I will not allow them to drag me down into depression, discouragement, despair, hatred, or strife, because Your joy is my strength. I know that this situation is not my fault.
I pray and ask that the fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, humility, meekness, and self-control — will replace all evil works. Thank You that I can be a light and a hope for my family. 
Father, thank You for moving in my family and keeping all of us from harm or evil. I say that this is a new day and that You are doing a new thing in my family. 
In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen


I found this sincere and utmost personal prayer of a friend of mine. Instead of always complaining why are things so broken, let's really commit the things that burden us to the one that saves.

Imperfections made perfect.

Today,I'm going to talk about family.Before, we start on anything, let's look at the life of Joseph.

Now,Consider Joseph.
His brothers kidnapped and abused him. Sold him into slavery. Denied—their crimes and got away with it. For a while. A “chance” encounter in Egypt revealed the truth: God was working through Joseph’s horrible family situation the entire time. Read Genesis 45:1-21 and 50:20. It’s the dramatic reconciliation scene—and an example of major forgiveness. Happy ending. Roll credits. And yet…
If God had this outcome in mind all along—get Joseph to Egypt, prompt Egypt to stockpile grain for an upcoming famine, keep the Israelite’s from starving—then why didn’t God just do that? Why put Joseph through so much grief along the way? Maybe it’s to point us to another truth: Good can come out of family chaos and pain. God does redeem splintered situations—if we let him. We may not see the results today, tomorrow, or even in this generation. But God is real, and he’s working through imperfect family situations.
Which raises a question: How is God working in and through your family? Take a long-lens view back through several generations. What’s your family’s spiritual journey? How is a real God doing real work through real people—your people?

YOUTH SERVICE (15/4/12)
Today's youth service was awesome! There was a guest speaker, he told us many stories some were really funny, motivating and others really made us think of our walk with God. The shocking part was that once we pause our Christian walk it is really hard to get back and sometimes people decided not don't follow God anymore and live their own lives . Thus, we must always continue to seek God. A few important things were that we should really spend time with God no matter where we are. We should also always thank God for what he has done for us, turn to God the smallest or the biggest decision we have to make and yearn for more of God for example in wanting to do signs, wonders and miracle or experience Him a greater measure of God. Near the end of the service, he prayed for us. We experienced the amazing presence of God and were moved.

Narnia!

Something to expect after your exams!

Hello! How many of you watched at least one of the series to Chronicles of Narnia? Well, I happened to be watching the third edition of it which was The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Boy was it good! In the entire show, it shows the journey of two of the younger siblings with their annoying cousin as they journey on the ship known as The Dawn Treader. The entire journey was full of action and excitement as King Caspian leads the Dawn Treader onto uncharted waters. However, along the journey, they encountered a mysterious dark figure known as the green mist. This green mist is known to be able to lure you into your deepest and darkest temptation as well as the desires of your heart. Now, I am going to stop right here and talk on the topic of temptation. The green mist is present in our daily lives and it may not be seen as a green mist. It may also seem like food to some of us, or computer games. In the movie, Lucy always wanted to be like her elder sister as she was stunning,gorgeous and often turned heads. Along the way, she found a spell book which could make her look as beautiful as her elder sister. Not knowing what effect it would bring upon her, she read the spell and was immediately transported back to the real world in the form of her sister, Susan. Fear gripped her as she realized there was no more Lucy and no more Narnia. In the midst of her panicking, the Majestic Aslan came and got her to her senses. Now, what got me really thinking was what Aslan said. It basically sums up on how Jesus loves us for who we are and how everyone is special in their own ways. We need not be like someone who is masculine, pretty, talented or smart. God has His own purpose for us and we as His child have a responsibility to seek out His destiny for us. Yes we can aspire to be like them but not to mimic them in everything that they do. Above is a short song story on how it is like to be in Lucy's shoe.

Show me your trust!

 


“Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust…” (Psalm 40:4, NIV).
Is your trust in the Lord today? Trusting in the Lord is a decision we make just like we choose anything else in life. You chose what to wear today, you probably chose what you would have for breakfast, and you can choose to trust God today, too! And just like the decision to receive salvation, when you choose to trust God, there is a peace that settles on the inside of your heart. There are blessings in store for you when you trust Him.
No matter what you are facing in life today, you can have faith that God will come through for you. You can trust that His Word is always true. In Psalm 32, David calls God his “hiding place.” In other words, not only can you choose to trust God in the midst of your difficulty; you can actually hide in Him and find rest for your soul. When the circumstances of life seem to be overwhelming, choose to trust that God is ordering your steps. Find security in Him knowing that He’s making your crooked places straight and leading you into the everlasting life He has prepared for you!

Daniel the Lion Tamer

Today, I was reading the bible and I was on the book of Daniel. Now, many of you know that Daniel was a man of God and he served several kings. From King Nebuchadnezzar to King Darius, Daniel remained faithful throughout his service to his earthly kings and even more on his Heavenly Father. With such faithfulness to God ,he was rewarded greatly with a high government post. However, such a journey doesn't come easy. He was accused and persecuted several times by his peers who opposed God. An example of which would be the time when the entire kingdom was supposed to pray to the idol created by King N every time the bell rang. As a man of God, Daniel remained faithful to God. However, his peers brought the matter up to the king and despite having favor with the king, the king had no choice but to send him into the lion's den after signing an agreement that whoever did not worship the king had to perish. As most of us know, Daniel did not suffer a single scratch from the beasts.

In conclusion, when we are faced with such rules and regulations in our lives or when our friends are speaking against your faith to Jesus Christ, what would be the driving force for us to remain faithful?
